Job Title: Azure Security Engineer

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Azure Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage security controls across Microsoft Azure environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Azuresecurity services, cloud governance, threat protection, and incident response, ensuring secure and compliant cloud infrastructure for enterprise workloads.

Key Responsibilities

 Design, implement, and manage security solutions within Microsoft Azure environments.

 Configure and monitor Azure security services including Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Sentinel (SIEM), Azure Policy, and Azure Monitor.

 Implement identity and access management using Azure AD (Entra ID), RBAC, Conditional Access, and MFA.

 Secure Azure networking components such as NSGs, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, and WAF

 Perform security assessments, vulnerability management, and risk analysis for Azure workloads.  Monitor, investigate, and respond to cloud security incidents and alerts.

 Ensure compliance with security standards and frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Benchmarks, and organizational policies.

 Collaborate with cloud architects, DevOps, and SOC teams to embed security best practices.

 Develop and maintain security documentation, playbooks, and standard operating procedures.

 Stay updated with emerging Azure security features, threats, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

 Strong hands-on experience securing Microsoft Azure environments.  Experience with Azure Sentinel (SIEM), Defender for Cloud, and log analytics.

 Solid understanding of Azure AD (Entra ID), identity governance, RBAC, and Conditional Access.

 Knowledge of Azure networking and security controls (NSGs, Firewall, WAF).

 Experience with vulnerability management and security posture management.  Understanding of cloud security concepts, zero trust architecture, and shared responsibility model.

 Good knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.

 Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

 Azure security certifications such as:

 AZ-500: Microsoft Azure Security Technologies

 Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst (SC-200)

 Experience with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Azure CLI).

 Exposure to DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipeline security.

Experience

 4–6 years of experience in cloud security, Azure security, or cybersecurity roles
