QC Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a QC Specialist based in India.

This is a remote quality control role supporting data and AI projects where accuracy, consistency, and cultural relevance are essential.
You will review project deliverables against established guidelines, quality standards, and QA processes.
The role involves identifying issues, evaluating content quality, and providing clear, actionable feedback to improve project outcomes.
You will work closely with Quality Leads, annotators, and project teams to maintain consistent standards across deliverables.
Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset will be critical when reviewing potentially large volumes of work.
The position offers flexibility and independence within a remote working environment, with a preferred daily capacity of six or more hours.
This is a mid-level freelance opportunity suited to professionals with experience in data, AI, annotation, or quality control projects.

• Perform quality control checks on project deliverables according to established guidelines, quality standards, and QA processes.
• Review completed tasks and outputs for accuracy, consistency, completeness, and adherence to project requirements.
• Evaluate content for cultural appropriateness and language-specific quality.
• Identify errors, inconsistencies, and deviations from established quality standards.
• Provide clear, specific, and constructive feedback to annotators based on QC findings.
• Review previously completed or QCed tasks to ensure that quality expectations are consistently met.
• Collaborate closely with Quality Leads to understand project standards, address quality issues, and maintain consistent evaluation practices.
• Work with project teams to identify recurring quality challenges and support continuous improvement.
• Apply project guidelines consistently across reviewed deliverables.
• Maintain a strong focus on detail when assessing language, content accuracy, and task compliance.
• Communicate quality findings clearly and professionally to relevant stakeholders.
• Manage assigned QC activities independently while meeting expected productivity and quality standards.
• Support consistent quality across data and AI project deliverables in a remote environment.
• Adapt to evolving project requirements, guidelines, and quality expectations as needed.

Requirements:

• Native or near-native proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Gujarati, Odia, Punjabi, Kannada, or Telugu.
• Previous experience working on data, AI, annotation, or similar projects.
• Prior quality control or quality assurance experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a consistent quality-focused mindset.
• Ability to identify subtle errors, inconsistencies, and issues in reviewed content.
• Strong understanding of accuracy, consistency, and cultural appropriateness when evaluating language content.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to provide clear, constructive, and actionable feedback to other contributors.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with Quality Leads and distributed project teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned responsibilities in a remote setup.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain quality while handling multiple review tasks.
• Ability to follow detailed project guidelines and apply quality standards consistently.
• Comfortable adapting to changing project requirements and workflows.
• Availability for a preferred daily capacity of 6+ hours.
• Mid-level professional experience with the ability to take ownership of QC responsibilities.
