Manager - SAP FICO S4 HANA Public Cloud

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Manager - SAP FICO S4 HANA Public Cloud based in India.

This is a senior SAP Finance transformation role focused on delivering end-to-end S/4HANA Public Cloud implementations. You will lead solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement across core Finance processes. The role requires strong expertise in SAP FICO, SAP Best Practices, Clean Core principles, and the specific capabilities of the Public Cloud environment. You will work closely with Finance leadership, business stakeholders, SAP teams, and system integrators to translate business needs into scalable SAP solutions. Your scope will span integrations, data migration, testing, cutover, go-live, and hypercare, with a strong focus on process standardization. You will also help identify opportunities for automation, analytics, and improved financial operations. This remote opportunity is ideal for an experienced SAP FICO professional who can combine deep functional expertise with strong implementation leadership and stakeholder management.

• Lead the end-to-end design, configuration, and deployment of SAP Finance solutions across FI and CO in S/4HANA Public Cloud.
• Drive fit-to-standard workshops and implement SAP Best Practice business content while promoting Clean Core principles and minimizing unnecessary customization.
• Configure and support key Finance processes, including General Ledger and Universal Journal, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, and Product Costing where applicable.
• Manage Public Cloud-specific activities using Central Business Configuration (CBC), SSCUI, Fiori Apps, and in-app extensibility tools.
• Coordinate activities across Starter, Development, Test, and Production environments within the relevant Public Cloud landscape.
• Lead integration with cross-functional processes and solutions, including MM/Procure-to-Pay, SD/Order-to-Cash, Professional Services, SAP Ariba, SAP Concur, and SAP SuccessFactors.
• Support and oversee APIs, IDocs, event-based integrations, and other interfaces required for seamless financial process integration.
• Lead data migration activities using SAP Migration Cockpit and ensure accuracy and consistency of Finance data.
• Define and execute unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT), coordinating issue resolution through deployment.
• Translate business requirements into SAP-compliant solutions and guide stakeholders toward standardized, scalable processes.
• Plan and execute cutover activities, support Go-Live and hypercare, and ensure financial reconciliation and data validation.
• Engage with Finance leadership and CFO organizations through solution walkthroughs, demonstrations, process discussions, and implementation updates.
• Coordinate with SAP, system integrators, and internal teams to ensure successful delivery of implementation milestones.
• Identify opportunities to improve Finance operations through automation, analytics, and capabilities such as Multi-Bank Connectivity, Group Reporting, and SAP Analytics Cloud.
• Provide functional leadership, technical guidance, and implementation expertise throughout the transformation lifecycle.

Requirements:

• 8–12+ years of experience in SAP FICO, with substantial hands-on experience delivering SAP Finance transformation projects.
• At least 2–3 SAP S/4HANA implementation projects, including 1–2 end-to-end implementations specifically in S/4HANA Public Cloud.
• Strong functional expertise across SAP FI and CO and a solid understanding of core financial processes.
• Proven experience with S/4HANA Public Cloud capabilities, including Central Business Configuration (CBC), SSCUI, Fiori Apps, and Clean Core principles.
• Strong knowledge of the Universal Journal (ACDOCA) and experience with parallel accounting.
• Knowledge of Revenue Recognition (RAR) is preferred.
• Experience working with SAP Best Practices and a fit-to-standard implementation methodology.
• Practical understanding of Public Cloud landscapes and implementation activities across development, testing, and production environments.
• Experience with SAP Migration Cockpit and Finance data migration activities.
• Strong understanding of integration points between Finance and MM, SD, Professional Services, and enterprise applications.
• Experience with APIs, IDocs, event-based integrations, and connected SAP solutions is beneficial.
• Strong testing experience across unit testing, SIT, and UAT, with the ability to coordinate business validation and defect resolution.
• Experience leading cutover, Go-Live, reconciliation, and hypercare activities.
• Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills, including the ability to work with Finance leadership, system integrators, SAP teams, and business users.
• Ability to explain complex SAP Finance concepts clearly through workshops, solution walkthroughs, and demonstrations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a structured approach to translating business requirements into scalable SAP solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate qualification in any relevant discipline; equivalent professional experience may also be considered.
• Quick availability or a short notice period is preferred.
