Engineer, Engineering Resolution Team, PCBE

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Engineer, Engineering Resolution Team, PCBE based in India.

This is an expert-level engineering role focused on resolving complex technical issues across private cloud and enterprise technology solutions.
You will work within a global, multidisciplinary resolution team, taking ownership of challenging customer problems from triage through resolution.
The role combines deep technical troubleshooting with solution-level thinking across networking, storage, servers, operating systems, and virtualization.
You will act as a recognized technical expert, often leading investigations independently and guiding peers toward effective resolutions.
You will also work directly with customers on critical issues and collaborate with product development teams to improve product quality and supportability.

• Take ownership of complex technical customer issues involving private cloud business solutions, leading investigations from initial triage and debugging through to complete resolution.
• Provide expert-level engineering support across multiple technical disciplines, with the ability to troubleshoot complete solutions rather than isolated components.
• Lead critical and urgent customer situations, providing advanced technical troubleshooting and working directly with customers when required.
• Collaborate with engineers across tier-less support teams, sharing troubleshooting techniques, technical insights, and best practices to accelerate issue resolution.
• Serve as a recognized technical expert within specific component areas while maintaining the ability to work across multiple technology domains.
• Work independently with limited managerial oversight, taking technical and situational leadership when complex problems require coordinated action.
• Develop tools, processes, and technical knowledge that help prevent recurring issues or significantly reduce troubleshooting and resolution time.
• Collaborate with product development engineers and other technical teams to address product quality concerns and influence supportability and design decisions.
• Work closely with internal engineering, escalation, field support, and management teams, as well as external customers, third-party providers, and OEM partners.
• Contribute to strengthening the technical capabilities and self-sufficiency of the broader support organization through knowledge sharing and peer collaboration.
• Provide support aligned with Americas business hours, including coverage through 17:00 Pacific during the work week and occasional standby or after-hours support.

Requirements:

• Strong engineering background with expert-level troubleshooting capabilities in enterprise infrastructure, private cloud, or related technology environments.
• Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in several of the following areas: networking, storage, server hardware, operating systems, virtualization, and solution-level troubleshooting.
• Strong networking expertise, including TCP/IP, WAN technologies, network adapters, protocols, authentication stacks, and related technologies.
• Experience with storage technologies such as primary storage, storage arrays, drives, data mobility, and backup solutions.
• Knowledge of enterprise server hardware, including GPU technologies, rack-mounted servers, and composable infrastructure.
• Strong operating-system knowledge, with Linux preferred; experience with Microsoft or other operating systems is also valuable.
• Experience with virtualization and cloud infrastructure technologies such as VMware, Morpheus, OpenShift, or comparable platforms.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex end-to-end solutions spanning multiple components and technical domains.
• Experience with protocol analysis and troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, Fibre Channel analyzers, or comparable technologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on mindset and a genuine passion for diagnosing and fixing difficult technical issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work directly with customers and explain complex technical issues clearly.
• Ability to remain effective under pressure, manage critical situations, and take ownership of challenging problems with minimal supervision.
• Recognized team player who is comfortable collaborating across globally distributed teams, functions, partners, and technical disciplines.
• Willingness to take on unfamiliar challenges, experiment with new approaches, and proactively develop technical expertise.
