Role Description

AI Governance Specialist will handle the day-to-day operational work needed to run the AI Governance Charter, including:

• Drive governance lifecycle management activities for AI Agents and AI Use Cases.
• Participate in controls evaluation and risk & controls self-assessments.
• Partner closely with Business Unit Risk function, Risk, TPRM, Technology, and peer governance teams to ensure synergy and coordinated execution across AI Governance initiatives.
• Assist in developing governance workflows, inventory management, and reporting activities.
• Maintain and enhance centralized repositories used to track AI models and AI-enabled solutions.
• Ensure AI assets are accurately documented, classified, and managed throughout their lifecycle.
• Supporting use-case review and risk level classification.
• Support other functions run their AI use-cases ensuring that they understand the guardrails/charter.
• Monitor evolving AI regulations, standards/trends, integrating them into governance work plans.
• Building awareness of the AI governance charter through periodic, focused training and workshops.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Law, Public Policy, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
• 2/3+ years of hands-on experience in AI governance, technology governance, AI risk management, model governance, compliance, enterprise risk management, cybersecurity governance, or Responsible AI.
• AI-literate without being a developer: able to understand at a conceptual level how AI and ML systems work, the risks they introduce (bias, hallucination, data leakage, model drift, and similar), and how to translate that into governance language.
• Familiarity with emerging AI regulations and standards (e.g., NIST AI RMF, FS AI RMF, EU AI Act, ISO/IEC).
• Exposure to model inventories, metadata management, model documentation, or governance processes is highly desirable.
• Strong hands-on experience in:
  • Developing AI governance frameworks and policies.
  • Conducting AI risk assessments and model reviews.
  • Supporting regulatory compliance and AI audit activities.
  • Reviewing AI-generated governance documentation and risk assessments.
  • Implementing Responsible AI principles across enterprise AI initiatives.
• Experience with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) platforms, documentation standards, or enterprise governance tools is preferred.
• Experience with project management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Monday.com, or similar).
• Excellent analytical thinking, policy writing, risk assessment, stakeholder communication, and written English skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to evaluate governance documentation objectively.
• Ability to facilitate workshops and gather requirements from technical/non-technical stakeholders.
• A collaborative, self-directed partner who is comfortable with ambiguity and evolving priorities in a function that is being built from the ground up.
• Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple requests, track deadlines, and stay composed while handling a steady volume of work.
