Support Engineer - Power Apps and Power Automate

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Support Engineer - Power Apps and Power Automate based in India.

This is a remote freelance opportunity for an experienced Power Platform professional supporting real enterprise customer cases. You will provide hands-on technical support across Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate, diagnosing issues and delivering reliable resolutions. The role covers application behavior, Dataverse, connectors, environments, automation, integrations, security, governance, and performance. You will investigate errors, logs, telemetry, and flow history to identify root causes rather than simply closing tickets. The position combines technical troubleshooting, customer communication, case ownership, and detailed documentation within a flexible shift-based model. Compensation is tied to successfully resolved tickets, making the opportunity well suited to experienced professionals seeking flexible, output-based technical work.

• Troubleshoot Canvas and Model-Driven Power Apps, including formula and expression errors, delegation warnings, control behavior, performance problems, load-time issues, and other application-level challenges.
• Diagnose data source and connector issues involving authentication, refresh failures, connector limits, throttling, and related integration problems, while identifying practical resolutions for customer environments.
• Resolve Dataverse issues involving tables, columns, relationships, security roles, permissions, business rules, and other platform configuration requirements.
• Troubleshoot Power Platform environments and ALM processes, including solution imports, managed and unmanaged solutions, environment variables, deployment failures, and related configuration issues.
• Investigate Power Automate Cloud Flow failures involving triggers, expressions, dynamic content, loops, concurrency, run history, scheduled flows, and approvals.
• Support Power Automate Desktop and RPA issues, including machine registration, unattended runs, credentials, gateways, and automation execution problems.
• Troubleshoot integrations involving Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Dataverse, APIs, and other connected services, including throttling, API limits, retry policies, and performance issues.
• Diagnose DLP policy blocks, governance-related failures, licensing questions, and premium connector requirements where applicable.
• Reproduce reported issues before confirming resolutions and provide clear, accurate customer-facing updates and comprehensive case documentation.
• Escalate issues outside your scope with complete troubleshooting evidence and contribute reusable solutions to the knowledge base.
• Maintain required standards for response times, resolution quality, SLAs, customer satisfaction, and overall case ownership throughout committed shifts.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated hands-on experience building and supporting Microsoft Power Apps, including both Canvas and Model-Driven Apps, with the ability to troubleshoot production or enterprise use cases independently.
• Strong practical experience developing and troubleshooting Power Automate flows, including cloud flows and, ideally, Power Automate Desktop/RPA.
• Working knowledge of Dataverse, connectors, environments, Power Platform security, ALM, DLP policies, and common integration patterns.
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities, including the ability to investigate error messages, logs, telemetry, flow run history, and platform behavior to identify root causes.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to customers and document troubleshooting steps and resolutions accurately.
• A customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills, ownership, reliability, and the ability to manage technical cases through to resolution.
• Experience working in customer-facing technical support, service desk, enterprise support, or similar environments is preferred, particularly where SLA and resolution-quality targets are involved.
• Microsoft certifications such as PL-100, PL-200, PL-400, or PL-600 are valuable but not mandatory.
• Exposure to Power BI, Azure, SharePoint, or Dynamics 365 is an advantage, as is proficiency in languages beyond English.
• Reliable high-speed internet, a suitable working system, and a quiet workspace are required for remote case handling.
• Willingness to complete background verification, NDA requirements, client security procedures, data-handling requirements, technical training, and any required assessments or certifications.
