This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Associate Specialist, Applications Development based in India.

In this role, you will contribute across the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and coding through testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
You will help develop application features, APIs, interfaces, and integrations that support important business processes.
The position also provides hands-on exposure to troubleshooting, application performance, release management, and continuous improvement.
You will work closely with developers, analysts, testers, and business users to translate requirements into practical technical solutions.

• Application development: Assist with designing, developing, testing, implementing, and enhancing software applications while following established coding standards and development best practices.
• Programming and integration: Develop and maintain application code, and support the creation and maintenance of APIs, interfaces, and integrations between business applications and systems.
• Testing and deployment: Participate in system integration testing, unit testing, user acceptance testing support, deployment activities, and other quality assurance processes throughout the development lifecycle.
• Application support: Provide first- and second-level technical support for business applications, investigate issues and defects, troubleshoot problems, and help deliver timely resolutions.
• Application maintenance: Support bug fixes, patches, upgrades, routine maintenance, and application monitoring activities to help maintain system performance, reliability, and availability.
• Software lifecycle management: Contribute to requirements analysis, design reviews, coding, testing, deployment, release management, and change management activities in accordance with established methodologies.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical documentation, user guides, support materials, and other relevant application documentation to support effective knowledge sharing and system maintenance.
• Stakeholder collaboration: Work with developers, business analysts, testers, and end users to understand requirements and assist in translating business needs into effective technical solutions.
• Quality, security, and compliance: Follow secure coding practices, quality standards, organizational policies, security requirements, and compliance guidelines while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Programming knowledge: Basic working knowledge of one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript, or a similar technology.
• Database skills: Understanding of relational databases and SQL, with the ability to work with data as part of application development and troubleshooting activities.
• Software development lifecycle: Familiarity with core software development lifecycle methodologies, including requirements analysis, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Source control: Knowledge of source control and collaborative development tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, or GitHub.
• Web and integration technologies: Exposure to web technologies, APIs, application interfaces, and integration concepts, with an understanding of how systems communicate and exchange information.
• Cloud and DevOps awareness: Basic understanding of cloud platforms and DevOps practices is preferred and will be valuable for working within modern application environments.
• Analytical problem-solving: Ability to investigate technical issues, understand root causes, and approach application problems in a structured and logical manner.
• Communication and collaboration: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, testers, and end users.
• Quality mindset: Attention to detail and a commitment to producing reliable, secure, maintainable, and well-documented software.
