BIM Engineer

Land Surveying Services team has a requirement for a BIM Engineer role to assist in creating and managing detailed BIM models using point cloud data and various BIM software in compliance with WSP in the United Kingdom (UK) CAD & BIM ISO 19650 standards. This role requires proficiency in Recap, AutoCAD, and Revit with optional skills in Civil 3D, N4ce and other point cloud-based software.

Key responsibilities include point cloud processing, drafting, sheet preparation, and developing Revit models for architecture, structure, and systems.

Our team delivers high-precision digital surveying and modelling solutions across a broad spectrum of infrastructure sectors. We specialise in producing accurate topographical survey data, detailed ground modelling, complex tunnel and bridge models, and comprehensive measured building surveys for existing assets. Our expertise extends to generating highly reliable digital models of critical infrastructure—including Water Treatment Plants, Sewage Treatment Plants, and other major public facilities ensuring accuracy for operations, maintenance, and strategic planning. We support clients across Water, Aviation, Energy, Leisure, and Road sectors with end-to-end Scan-to-BIM and Scan-to-CAD services tailored
to project needs. Additionally, we provide precise As-Built digital models to facilitate renovation, future development, asset management, and long-term archival documentation. Through our advanced BIM methodologies and industry-leading technologies, we ensure every model is robust, data-rich, and ready to support informed decision-making throughout the asset lifecycle.

• Be part of the Land Surveying Services team in India (in Noida), work in close collaboration with the UK Land Surveying Services team, delivering high-profile projects for private and public sector clients across the UK. Contribute towards growing our Land Surveying Services discipline activities within our India-based team, working in close collaboration with colleagues in the UK to deliver high-quality, integrated outcomes.
• Utilize Recap for point cloud processing and management.
• Perform AutoCAD drafting and sheet preparation.
• Develop and manage Revit models for architecture, structure, and MEP systems.
• Create and modify Revit families as needed.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of BIM models.
• Maintain and update BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with WSP & industry BIM standards and project specifications.
• Produce accurate and timely CAD and BIM drawings and models to agreed deadlines.
• Organise and manage work in a professional and responsible manner, collaborate closely across multi-disciplinary planning, land and environmental teams; Support Team Leader / Line Manager/ Project Stakeholders for on time completion of tasks assigned to WSP’s expected standards.
• Clear and constant communication (verbal and written) with colleagues in India and the
UK on project related technical communication and day-to-day matters, attend and contribute to team and project meetings.
• Work within project constraints; estimating time and budget requirements.

• Take ownership of tasks assigned and research for solutions where required.
• Provide support in maintaining healthy contact with different UK offices and be responsible for own work with key focus on detail and quality.
• Support Team Leader / Line Manager in planning resources, utilisation, team’s performance and development requirements.
• Be a core member of WSP’s Land team, with key focus on detail and quality.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing in internal and external forums.
• Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies.
• Attend and contribute to team and project meetings as required.
• Any other task assigned by HoD/ Team Leader / Line Manager.
• Complete accurate timesheets by set timeline.

Key Competencies / Skills

• Complete tasks received from Engineers and Senior BIM Experts.
• Ensure deliverables are managed, published and issued appropriately.

Mandatory Skills
• Proficiency in Recap for point cloud processing.
• Strong skills in AutoCAD drafting and sheet preparation.
• Extensive experience with Revit architecture, structure, and systems such as Plumbing, HVAC, Electricals, and Fire protection.
• Ability to create and manage Revit families.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.
• Working experience on Civil 3D & N4ce is advantageous.
• Experience with Navisworks and Civil 3D is advantageous.
• Familiarity with other point cloud-based software, such as Leica Cyclone 3DR, is beneficial.
• Good working knowledge of the relevant discipline.
• Experienced user of Microsoft Office.

• B.E./B.Tech degree in a relevant discipline.
• More than 4 years of relevant work experience using AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks/Civil 3D (BIM) preferably for large infrastructure projects.
• Certification in BIM software is a plus.
• Familiarity with BIM ISO 19650 standards.
