As Engineer (Modelling) within our Water Team, you will provide technical support on water infrastructure projects to ensure accurate and efficient project delivery for internal and external clients. The role includes providing support on water planning and hydraulic modelling studies using industry standard software’s (Infoworks WS (Pro) / WaterCAD/WaterGems) as well as other projects requiring detailed technical analysis. You will be expected to use existing models as well as building new models to assess and understand asset performance. We are seeking candidates who are enthusiastic, willing to learn, self-motivated and passionate about delivering quality projects.
Undertake model build and calibration of water supply, wastewater andsurface water network hydraulic models using a range of modelling software and other tools including spreadsheets and GIS.
• Provide technical input on water modelling projects as part of a project team.
• Roles include:
▪ Network Modelling in support of Senior Engineers
▪ Support to develop of Master Planning, Feasibility studies and optioneering.
▪ Use of network models to analyse Asset Performance.
▪ Preparation of reports and supporting drawings.
▪ Definition of work needed by field investigation teams.
▪ Responding to customer needs to support maintaining good client relationships at all levels.
▪ Work proactively within a team of junior and senior water network
hydraulic modellers/ planning engineers within India and Australia to ensure the production of quality deliverables.

• Excellent Knowledge in both theoretical and software domains
• Past experience in AU/NZ projects is preferred; should at least have
experience in UK/US/ME projects.
• proficient in Windows 2000 or later, MS Word/Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Software Proficiencies
• MUST HAVE software proficiencies:
✓ InfoWorks WS Pro, WaterCAD/ WaterGems
✓ ArcGIS
• Good to have software proficiencies:
✓ WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, iTwin
✓ InfoWater, Synergi Water/LiquidInfoWater
✓ QGIS or other GIS packages
✓ API programming skills (especially using RubyScript and Rstudio)
✓ Ability to use AI (Claude, ChatGPT etc) for programming
• Postgraduate in Civil, Water Resource Engineering or Environmental Engineering or similar
• Preferred, Member of a professional body like CIWEM, ICE, IEAUST etc.; working towards Chartered or equivalent
Experience
• 2-8 years of hands-on experience in Planning and Hydraulic Modelling for Water Infrastructure projects.
• Skilled in hydraulic model build, verification and calibration
• Experience in the design of water network for planned layouts and developments.
• Past experience in AU/NZ projects is preferred; should at least have
experience in overseas (UK/US/ME) Water and Wet Utilities projects.
• Knowledge and understanding of international codes and standards.
• Ability to work well as part of a team or on an individual basis.
• Good report writing skills.
• Experience with wastewater planning/ modelling is beneficial but not necessary.
