Vedritam Group (formerly known as DAV Group of Schools, Chennai), as you may be aware, one of the premier institutions in the country with a 50+ year heritage of providing high quality, value-based and affordable education. The group today, caters to over 40,000 students across 9 Owned schools, 9 Managed schools, 2 Govt-Aided schools and 24 academic associate schools. It has a staff strength of 1500, including over 1,200 teaching staff. Four of our branches have been consistently ranked amongst top 30 schools in the country.
Role Summary
We are looking for a passionate and self-driven Web Developer to manage, maintain, and continuously enhance 30+ school websites. The ideal candidate should have strong WordPress expertise, a keen eye for UI/UX, and the ability to ensure high-performing, secure, and SEO-friendly websites.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and optimize 30+ school websites.
- Build responsive, mobile-friendly websites with modern UI/UX principles.
- Monitor website performance, SEO, security, and coordinate with hosting/service providers.
- Develop and administer WordPress websites with a focus on quality, performance, and scalability.
- Manage website content, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and grammatical correctness.
- Leverage Gen-AI tools to improve productivity and content workflows
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in web development.
- Strong expertise in WordPress development and administration.
- Good understanding of Headless CMS architecture.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Basic knowledge of SEO best practices.
- Self-motivated team player with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Additional Skills
- Experience with Strapi, Sanity, or other Headless CMS platforms.
- Exposure to Next.js, React, Figma, Adobe XD, or Canva.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics and website performance optimization.
Salary shall commensurate with experience
