Job Description
The Quality Lead is responsible for ensuring the overall quality of project deliverables by leading test planning, execution, and quality governance across the delivery lifecycle. This role acts as the single point of accountability for Quality Engineering outcomes and works closely with project managers, stakeholders, and testing teams to ensure a high-quality release.
Key Responsibilities
1. Test Planning & Strategy
• Develop and maintain the Master Test Plan (MTP)
• Define testing scope, approach, and execution strategy
• Establish test schedules aligned with project timelines
• Identify required test environments and data needs
2. Test Execution & Oversight
• Oversee end-to-end testing activities (functional, regression, integration, UAT)
• Ensure adequate test coverage across all impacted systems
• Coordinate non-functional testing such as performance and load testing
• Drive adoption of test automation opportunities
3. Team Leadership
• Lead and mentor testing teams, ensuring effective task allocation and delivery
• Provide guidance on test design, execution, and issue resolution
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Development, BA, PM, Vendors)
4. Stakeholder Management
• Act as the primary point of contact for all quality-related matters
• Facilitate customer reviews and testing walkthroughs
• Communicate testing progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders
5. Risk & Issue Management
• Identify, track, and mitigate testing risks and issues
• Ensure timely defect identification, triaging, and resolution
• Monitor quality metrics and provide insights for decision-making
6. Reporting & Governance
• Publish regular status reports (DSR/WSR) on testing progress
• Maintain key test artifacts and ensure compliance with quality standards Required Skills & Competencies
Technical and Domain Skills
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC methodologies
• Strong experience in Healthcare Payer Domain.
• Experience in test planning, execution, and test management tools c
• Exposure to test automation and non-functional testing Leadership & Soft Skills
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and risks effectively
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field Typically 8+ years of experience in QA/testing, with leadership exposure
