QA Engineer (capital market)

Designation: Manual Tester

Job Description: 

As a Manual QA Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the quality, reliability, and functionality of software applications used in the Securities/Capital Markets domain. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to identify defects early and help deliver high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough testing of software applications, including API testing, functional testing, and regression testing. API testing experience is Mandatory.

• Develop and execute manual test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of software products.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve software defects promptly.

• Participate in requirements analysis and provide feedback on testability and potential quality issues.

• Perform database testing to validate data integrity and ensure accurate system functionality.

• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing and quality assurance.

• Securities/Capital Markets domain experience is mandatory, as the learning curve is significant without domain knowledge.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

• Experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on manual testing.

• Strong knowledge of API testing and experience using tools such as Postman or SoapUI.

• Proficiency in functional testing techniques and methodologies.

• The candidate should have automation awareness. Although this is a manual testing role, they should be comfortable working in an automation-enabled environment and understand the overall automation process.

• Experience testing databases using SQL queries and database management systems (e.g., MySQL).

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
