1. Responsible for calibration activities like Diesel engine calibration, turbocharger-matching, performance and emissions optimization for Engine out emissions, calibration dataset management, DSM calibration, NCD calibration, SCR calibration, DPF calibration, cold startability calibration, DeSOx calibration, error simulation, diagnostic routine calibration, end application calibration, DVP&R and release activities understanding.
2. Fluent with the use of calibration tools like INCA/MDA, Nira, Picoscope, AVL indiset/Kistler key box, Concerto/CAMEO, or any other DOE and map generation tools, uniplot, and other data analysis tools; good analytical and data analysis skills; and understanding of diagnostic routines
3. Cold start or altitude calibration for CRDI & mechanical engines.
4. Calibration of inline mechanical engines & related parameters like LLA, LLR, RSV governor, etc.
5. DPF calibration for Stage V programs
6. Support for in-field/field issue resolution for in-production BS IV products and dataset management
7. CPCB 4+ calibration, homologation, production / field transition support
8. Tier 4 final calibration, technical documentation for EPA and CARB approvals
9. DSM, NCD, and PCD calibration and dataset management.
10. Experience in CRDI engine calibration and type approval to ensure regulatory compliance.
11. Knowledge of turbochargers, FIS system, aftertreatment system, and injector thru-flow calculations
12. Ability to interpret test data and translate them into actionable calibration maps.
13. Conduct combustion hardware screening to identify and validate the combustion critical components for specific engine platforms.
14. Experience with working on high horsepower engines and heavy-duty truck drivability calibration.
