Position Description

The purpose of the role is to design and develop the back-end systems for our consumers and partner facing applications. The role will be responsible to solve complex business problems. The role will also be responsible to guide and upskill team members for the back-end design.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Back-end framework development

Ensure understanding of customer needs by collaborating with product managers and business stakeholders.

Lead the design, development, delivery, and support of large-scale and distributed software applications and tools.

Lead the preparation of the required documents such as flowcharts, workflows, etc. to identify the requirements and solutions.

Actively take initiatives and come up with new ideas to invent solutions for customers.

Lead the designing of the entire back-end platform for a product portfolio.

Lead backend architecture implementation in an environment that fosters innovation and new ideas.

Study new technologies and frameworks that suit the needs of products and users.

Lead the usage of software engineering best practices to ensure high standard of quality and maintainability for all deliverables.

Lead the production deployment rapidly, be able to scale and to be monitored easily.

Ensure adherence of company standards for the back-end platform design and conceptualization.

Mentor and guide team members on the tools, concepts, company standards, etc. to ensue smooth implementation.

People Management

Work closely with the team for seamless execution of the tasks.
