OT Security Engineer (Pharma Manufacturing)

Location: Ahmedabad (Plant-Based Role -  The position follows plant operating schedules and a 6-day working week.

You will work on protecting critical systems such as PLC, SCADA, DCS, MES, and industrial networks, ensuring safe, secure, and uninterrupted plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain OT security controls, network segmentation, firewalls, and secure remote access solutions.
• Monitor OT environments using leading security and asset visibility platforms.
• Manage OT asset inventory, vulnerability assessments, and cybersecurity risk mitigation.
• Support incident response, threat monitoring, system hardening, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Ensure compliance with OT cybersecurity standards and regulated manufacturing requirements.
• Partner with Automation, Engineering, Quality, and IT teams to strengthen plant cybersecurity.
• Support audits, security reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing sites.

Required Skills

• 5-10 years of experience, including at least 3 years in OT/ICS Cybersecurity.
• Hands-on experience with PLC, DCS, SCADA, HMI, Historian, and MES environments.
• Strong understanding of industrial networking, firewalls, and OT security architecture.
• Knowledge of protocols such as Modbus, OPC UA, Profinet, EtherNet/IP, and Siemens S7.
• Experience with ISA/IEC 62443, Purdue Model, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Exposure to Pharma, Biotech, or other regulated manufacturing environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• B.Tech, B.E /M.E,  M. Tech -Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science, or Information Security.
• Certifications such as GICSP, CISSP, CEH, ISA/IEC 62443, CCNA/CCNP Security.
• Experience with DeltaV, Siemens PCS 7, Rockwell, ABB, or similar automation platforms.
• Familiarity with SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, or QRadar.
