Sr. Salesforce Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Salesforce Developer based in India.

This remote role focuses on designing, developing, and delivering scalable Salesforce solutions across complex business environments. You will build custom functionality using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and Flows while supporting Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Financial Services Cloud implementations. The position combines hands-on development with solution design, integration, data management, and technical leadership. You will collaborate closely with architects, business analysts, QA teams, and other developers throughout the delivery lifecycle. Your work will contribute to secure, maintainable, high-quality Salesforce platforms while addressing performance and technical debt. This is an opportunity to take ownership of sophisticated cloud solutions and mentor other developers within an Agile environment.

• Design and develop custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and Salesforce Flows.
• Configure Salesforce security models, sharing rules, automation, reports, dashboards, and data models.
• Implement Financial Services Cloud capabilities, including solutions supporting insurance-related processes.
• Develop Sales Cloud and Service Cloud solutions covering opportunity management, case management, and related workflows.
• Translate functional requirements into scalable technical designs and prepare Technical Design Documents.
• Participate in architecture and technical design discussions while ensuring solutions follow Salesforce best practices and governor limits.
• Develop integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware such as MuleSoft.
• Support data migration, data quality initiatives, data governance, platform events, and asynchronous processing.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce development standards, write unit tests, and maintain strong code coverage.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, DevOps processes, release management, and Salesforce deployments.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, QA teams, and other stakeholders throughout Agile delivery cycles.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, technical estimation, defect resolution, and production support.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance across development initiatives.
• Identify technical risks, recommend mitigation strategies, optimize platform performance, and reduce technical debt.
• Promote reusable components, consistent coding practices, and scalable development standards.

Requirements:

• 6–10 years of professional Salesforce development experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce Flows, Visualforce, security and sharing models, reports, and dashboards.
• Experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, Sales Cloud, and Service Cloud.
• Experience developing integrations through REST/SOAP APIs; MuleSoft experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of data migration tools, data quality, and data governance practices.
• Understanding of event-driven architecture and asynchronous Salesforce processing is an advantage.
• Experience with development and delivery tools such as Git, Bitbucket, Copado, Gearset, Jenkins, Jira, Azure DevOps, VS Code, and Salesforce DX.
• Ability to translate functional requirements into robust technical designs and communicate effectively during architecture discussions.
• Experience working in Agile development environments and collaborating with cross-functional technical and business teams.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices, governor limits, testing methodologies, CI/CD, and release processes.
• Experience with Financial Services or Insurance implementations is preferred.
• Salesforce Platform Developer I certification is required.
• Salesforce Platform Developer II and Salesforce Administrator certifications are preferred.
• Salesforce Financial Services Cloud Accreditation and Sales Cloud or Service Cloud Consultant certifications are advantageous.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to mentor other developers, identify technical risks, and work effectively in a remote environment.
