Gujarati Maps Trainer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Gujarati Maps Trainer based in India.

As a Gujarati Maps Trainer, you will help improve the relevance and quality of location-based digital experiences. You will review search queries and personalized place recommendations, assessing whether suggested locations are genuinely useful in context. Your understanding of Gujarati language, local context, and user intent will help ensure recommendations are accurate and meaningful. The role requires thoughtful evaluation of search results and the ability to recognize when recommendations align with a user's likely needs. You will work independently while following clear project guidelines and quality standards. This is a freelance, remote-friendly opportunity with an estimated commitment of 8–10 hours per week.

• Review search queries and location-based results personalized according to user activity history.

• Evaluate suggested places, such as restaurants and other locations, in relation to places a user has previously visited.

• Assess whether recommended places are relevant, useful, and appropriate to the context of the search.

• Apply project guidelines consistently and complete assigned evaluation tasks accurately.

• Consider user intent, context, and usefulness when assessing recommendations.

• Identify recommendations that may be irrelevant, inaccurate, or poorly aligned with the user's activity.

• Maintain a high level of accuracy and consistency across all assigned tasks.

Requirements:

• Located in India and authorized to work in India.

• Strong proficiency in Gujarati, particularly Gujarati as used in India.

• An existing, actively used Gmail account with prior usage history on Google Maps.

• Familiarity with location-based searches, places, and digital map experiences.

• Strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to evaluate recommendations objectively.

• Good understanding of context, user intent, and what makes a recommendation genuinely useful.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in digital experiences.

• Ability to follow detailed project guidelines and work independently.

• Reliable organization and time-management skills for completing freelance assignments.
