As a Marathi Culture Expert, you will contribute your language and cultural expertise to a project focused on improving the quality and naturalness of AI-generated content.
You will evaluate AI responses for accuracy, grammar, fluency, and cultural relevance, helping identify areas where language models can improve.
The role also involves creating natural Marathi prompts and responses and refining generated content to reflect authentic language usage.
You will work on structured evaluation tasks that help improve conversational datasets and the performance of AI language systems.
This is a fully remote freelance opportunity that offers flexibility to organize your work around your schedule.
You will collaborate with international teams and other language specialists while applying your Marathi writing and cultural knowledge to emerging AI technologies.
The project is ideal for language professionals, teachers, writers, or native Marathi speakers who enjoy detailed evaluation and quality-focused work.

• Evaluate AI-generated Marathi responses for factual accuracy, grammatical correctness, fluency, naturalness, and cultural relevance.
• Identify linguistic, contextual, or cultural issues in generated content and provide clear, high-quality rewritten alternatives.
• Create natural and contextually appropriate Marathi prompts and responses to strengthen conversational AI datasets.
• Perform structured preference-ranking tasks, including evaluations of factuality, locality, and overall response quality.
• Conduct grammaticality checks and identify errors involving syntax, vocabulary, tone, meaning, and language usage.
• Improve and refine text so that responses sound natural and appropriate for Marathi-speaking audiences.
• Apply knowledge of Marathi cultural nuances, expressions, conventions, and local context when evaluating or creating content.
• Follow detailed project guidelines and quality standards consistently across assigned evaluation tasks.
• Collaborate remotely with global teams and contribute linguistic insights that can help improve AI language models.
• Complete assigned tasks accurately and within project timelines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
• Follow project security and regional verification requirements, including avoiding VPNs or IP-masking tools during the recruitment and project process.

Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in Marathi, with excellent written communication skills and strong grammatical accuracy.
• Background in teaching, language education, writing, editing, translation, content creation, or another Marathi-focused discipline is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong understanding of Marathi linguistic conventions, cultural nuances, expressions, and local context.
• Ability to assess written content critically and identify subtle issues in grammar, meaning, fluency, factuality, and cultural appropriateness.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to distinguish between high-quality and lower-quality language responses.
• Comfortable performing structured tasks such as preference ranking, factuality and locality evaluation, prompt-response creation, grammaticality checks, and text improvement.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions, evaluation criteria, and project-specific guidelines consistently.
• Strong written communication and independent working skills.
• Comfortable working remotely and managing approximately 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule.
• Interest in artificial intelligence, language technologies, conversational AI, or large language models is an advantage.
• Reliable internet access and the ability to work from India throughout the project.
• Willingness to complete the project without using VPNs or IP-masking tools, as accurate regional verification is required.
