Salesforce Data Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Salesforce Data Engineer based in India.

This role offers an opportunity to build and optimize enterprise-scale data solutions supporting marketing, sales, and customer operations. You will design, develop, and maintain critical data pipelines connecting Salesforce, CRM, ERP, SQL Server, and Azure environments. The position combines data engineering, integration, data quality, automation, and analytics in a highly collaborative technology environment. You will work closely with technical teams, product managers, operations, and business stakeholders to transform complex data into reliable, analytics-ready assets. Your work will directly contribute to stronger data governance, improved reporting, and more efficient business processes. The role is ideal for an experienced data professional who enjoys solving complex integration challenges and applying modern engineering practices.

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain scalable data workflows across Salesforce, Siebel CRM, Oracle ERP, SQL Server, and Azure Cloud environments.
• Conduct data profiling across revenue operations and go-to-market systems to assess data quality, consistency, completeness, and reliability.
• Engineer and enhance robust data pipelines and automated transformation processes using SQL and technologies such as Python, Hadoop, and Spark.
• Develop database scripts, triggers, functions, stored procedures, and other components required to support reliable enterprise data workflows.
• Create automated testing and validation processes that strengthen data quality, compliance, and governance.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business and technical data requirements and assess how engineering decisions affect analytics and reporting.
• Collaborate with technical teams, operations, product managers, and business stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of data initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to automate data quality improvement processes and increase the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of data operations.
• Support the preparation of datasets for machine learning and AI applications and contribute to the use of AI-powered database optimization technologies.
• Promote data engineering best practices, technical standards, automation, documentation, and a culture of engineering excellence.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical discipline is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in data engineering, data integration, backend data platform development, or a related field supporting enterprise-scale data ecosystems.
• Demonstrated experience designing, building, and maintaining complex data pipelines across CRM, ERP, cloud, and other enterprise systems.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Salesforce, Siebel CRM, and Oracle ERP, including Salesforce data tools such as Data Loader, Workbench, and Inspector.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with large-scale data processing technologies such as Hadoop and Spark.
• Practical experience with Python or comparable programming and data-engineering technologies.
• Experience with marketing and sales automation platforms such as Demandbase, SalesLoft, and HubSpot is highly valuable.
• Experience with BI and analytics platforms, particularly Power BI, and the ability to develop reliable datasets for reporting and analytical applications.
• Experience implementing data quality, validation, governance, and compliance frameworks across complex data environments.
• Experience preparing and optimizing datasets for machine learning and AI use cases, as well as familiarity with AI-powered database optimization tools.
• Strong understanding of data engineering best practices, enterprise integration patterns, source systems, data workflows, and backend data platforms.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical findings and data insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment, manage changing priorities, and consistently maintain high standards of quality.
• Cloud and data engineering certifications are preferred, including Azure Data Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent AWS/GCP credentials.
• Salesforce certifications in areas such as Data Architecture and Management, Platform Development, or Salesforce Administration are a plus.
• Additional certifications in analytics, databases, Power BI, SQL, Hadoop, Spark, or related technologies are advantageous.
• Ability to align working hours with UK business hours.
