Software Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Engineer based in India.

Join a high-impact engineering team responsible for a highly available application deployment platform supporting hundreds of critical applications. You’ll help build and maintain infrastructure software that operates around the clock and plays an important role in powering large-scale digital experiences. The role combines Python software development with modern containerization and cloud-native technologies. You’ll contribute to the evolution of a next-generation platform built around Kubernetes, Docker, and automated delivery practices. Your work will directly improve scalability, reliability, security, and operational efficiency. This is an opportunity to collaborate with experienced engineers while working on challenging infrastructure problems in a fast-moving environment.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance high-quality infrastructure applications and platform software, primarily using Python, with a strong focus on reliability, maintainability, and performance.
• Design, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes as the platform evolves toward a more scalable and resilient architecture.
• Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to automate software delivery, deployment, and operational workflows.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of highly available application deployment capabilities supporting a large portfolio of production applications.
• Implement secure software delivery practices, including vulnerability management, static code analysis, and controls that help maintain the security and quality of production deployments.
• Collaborate with engineers across the platform and application ecosystem to troubleshoot issues, improve deployment processes, and deliver reliable infrastructure solutions.
• Support continuous improvements to development and operational practices by applying automation, modern engineering standards, and cloud-native approaches.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of professional experience in software engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
• Strong Python development skills and a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles, with the ability to build clean, maintainable, and production-ready software.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, particularly Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong Linux administration skills, including confidence working with Linux systems, command-line tools, troubleshooting, and system-level configuration.
• Practical experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, with strong knowledge of Jenkins and automated software delivery practices.
• Familiarity with GitOps-based continuous delivery and tools such as ArgoCD, with an understanding of declarative deployment and automated release workflows.
• Knowledge of logging and observability technologies such as Fluent Bit and Logstash, together with an interest in monitoring application and platform health.
• Understanding of secure software development practices, including vulnerability management, static code analysis, and proactive identification of security risks.
• Familiarity with modern web development technologies such as TypeScript is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and contribute to a platform undergoing continuous evolution and modernization.
