Senior Enterprise Technology Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Enterprise Technology Engineer based in India.

This is a senior technology role focused on enabling the secure, consistent, and efficient adoption of enterprise Identity and Access Management capabilities.
You will lead complex onboarding, integration, migration, configuration, readiness, and transition initiatives across a broad identity technology landscape.
The role spans workforce, application, machine, privileged, and partner identities, with exposure to authentication, federation, identity governance, directory services, PKI, and identity protection.
You will work closely with Engineering, Architecture, Cyber Security, Support, Risk, Compliance, Product Management, and business teams to deliver secure and supportable solutions.
A key part of the role is translating enterprise standards, security policies, control requirements, and reusable patterns into practical implementations for technology consumers.
You will also contribute to automation, self-service capabilities, operational readiness, technical documentation, and continuous improvement across identity services.

• Lead sophisticated onboarding, integration, configuration, migration, adoption, readiness, and transition activities across enterprise Identity and Access Management platforms.
• Assess consumer requirements, technical dependencies, security considerations, control obligations, and lifecycle stages before initiating enablement activities.
• Guide consumers toward approved identity architectures, security patterns, engineering standards, reusable implementation approaches, and operationally supportable solutions.
• Enable identity capabilities covering identity governance and administration, authentication, directory services, privileged access management, federation, identity protection, digital trust, certificate services, and supporting identity infrastructure.
• Support identity solutions for workforce, application, machine, privileged, and partner identities.
• Coordinate with Engineering when consumer requirements require platform changes, new capabilities, architectural decisions, or exceptions to established patterns.
• Validate that implementations satisfy applicable architecture, security, operational, data, compliance, and control requirements before entering service.
• Produce accurate and traceable evidence demonstrating that implementation, security, control, and readiness requirements have been fulfilled.
• Establish procedures for recurring operational control evidence and transition those procedures to Support and accountable control owners.
• Lead migrations from legacy or nonstandard identity implementations toward approved enterprise platforms and patterns.
• Develop and improve reusable onboarding guides, integration patterns, migration procedures, configuration standards, readiness checklists, automation, and self-service resources.
• Identify recurring adoption barriers, consumer needs, control gaps, and opportunities for automation or platform enhancement.
• Build feedback loops with Product Management, Engineering, and Support to influence platform roadmaps, service improvements, and reusable capabilities.
• Complete structured handoffs to Support, including service ownership, operational documentation, monitoring requirements, issue escalation paths, known risks, and readiness evidence.
• Track enablement outcomes such as adoption, migration completion, time to value, implementation quality, consumer readiness, and reduction of recurring friction.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other Enablement engineers while helping establish consistent practices across Identity and Access Management teams.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in Identity and Access Management, enterprise security, platform enablement, systems integration, service transition, or a related technology field.
• Demonstrated experience leading integration, migration, configuration, adoption, or enablement initiatives within large enterprise environments.
• Practical knowledge of at least two IAM domains, such as identity governance and administration, enterprise authentication and federation, directory and identity lifecycle services, privileged access management, passwordless or certificate-based authentication, partner identity, identity protection, PKI, digital trust, or machine and application identity.
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, federation, identity lifecycle management, privileged access, certificate management, and Zero Trust principles.
• Ability to understand enterprise identity architectures, integration dependencies, data flows, control boundaries, and operational requirements.
• Experience integrating IAM platforms with enterprise applications, cloud platforms, infrastructure services, and automated delivery environments.
• Hands-on experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation, validation, evidence generation, or integration activities.
• Experience working with APIs, identity standards, service orchestration, configuration automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with version control, peer review, automated testing, validation, and controlled deployment practices for identity integrations and automation.
• Experience working with security policies, architecture standards, operational requirements, compliance controls, and auditable implementation evidence.
• Ability to diagnose complex integration and configuration issues, identify the appropriate technical ownership, and coordinate resolution with Engineering or Support teams.
• Strong documentation skills, with the ability to create clear, maintainable, and auditable implementation procedures, evidence records, and operational handoff materials.
• Experience collaborating effectively across Engineering, Support, Architecture, Cyber Security, Risk, Compliance, Product, and business-facing teams.
• Strong consumer-focused approach, with the ability to balance security, usability, operational supportability, compliance, and time to value.
• Excellent structured problem-solving, communication, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to explain complex identity concepts, technical requirements, risks, and decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience in a global, highly regulated, or compliance-intensive environment is an advantage.
• Experience with enterprise identity migrations, platform consolidation, legacy service retirement, reusable integration patterns, automated onboarding, readiness assessments, or self-service capabilities is a plus.
• Knowledge of identity-related threats, identity security posture management, conditional access, and risk-based identity controls is desirable.
• Understanding of service transition, operational readiness, incident management, and continual service improvement is beneficial.
• Familiarity with IAM tools and Microsoft PKI is an advantage.
