Software Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Engineer based in India.

You will work as part of a globally distributed delivery experience team building resilient, scalable web solutions.
The role combines full-stack software development with a strong focus on user experience, platform reliability, and rapid product delivery.
You will contribute across the development lifecycle, from designing and implementing features through testing, code reviews, deployment, and production support.
You will collaborate closely with engineering, QA, and cross-functional teams in an agile environment.

• Design, develop, unit test, and roll out software features for a large-scale web portal and supporting platform.

• Contribute to full-stack development across Java-based backend services and modern web technologies.

• Build reliable and scalable functionality that supports customer-facing tools, APIs, analytics, configuration management, and web services.

• Collaborate with globally distributed, cross-functional engineering teams to plan and deliver new features.

• Develop comprehensive unit tests and participate in code reviews to maintain high standards of software quality.

• Work closely with QA engineers to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects throughout the development lifecycle.

• Participate in Scrum activities and contribute across development, testing, integration, and delivery.

• Investigate and resolve integration or production issues when required.

• Support continuous improvements to platform usability, resilience, scalability, and overall user experience.

• Contribute to an engineering environment that enables distributed teams to deliver products and features efficiently.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.

• 0–2 years of professional experience developing software with Java.

• 0–2 years of experience with UI technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

• Familiarity with responsive web design concepts and the fundamentals of modern user interfaces.

• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.

• Foundational knowledge of databases and database concepts.

• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an eagerness to learn new technologies.

• Comfortable working collaboratively with engineering and QA teams in a globally distributed environment.

• Self-driven, proactive, and capable of working effectively with limited supervision.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to contribute effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Passion for technology and an interest in building scalable, customer-focused software.
