Role Overview

We are looking for a versatile DevOps Engineer with 2+ years of experience to manage, secure and scale our hybrid infrastructure.

While you will touch every part of the stack, we are specifically looking for someone to take ownership of our Observability Strategy and Infrastructure Security. We need you to help us see better (Monitoring) and sleep better (Security).

Key Responsibilities

Observability & Monitoring: Architect a comprehensive monitoring stack using Prometheus and Grafana. You will be responsible for defining metrics, setting up exporters, and creating actionable dashboards for our servers.
Security & Hardening: Lead security initiatives including OS hardening (Linux/Windows), firewall management, vulnerability scanning, and securing our CI/CD pipelines.
Hybrid Infrastructure Management: Maintain and scale workloads across AWS Cloud and On-Premise environments.
CI/CD & Automation: optimize GitLab CI and Jenkins pipelines and use Terraform/Ansible to keep our infrastructure defined as code.
Container Orchestration: Manage Docker and Kubernetes clusters, ensuring they are secure and resource-efficient.
Database Health: Monitor availability and performance for database servers.

Technical Requirements

Must-Have Skills

Advanced Observability: Deep experience with Prometheus (custom queries, alert manager) and Grafana. You must be able to set up monitoring from scratch, not just look at existing screens.
Server Security: Proven ability to secure Linuxand Windows Servers. Knowledge of best practices for SSH hardening, firewalls (UFW/iptables), and patch management.
Network Security: Understanding of secure networking in a hybrid setup (VPNs, Subnets, Security Groups).

Core Competencies

Cloud & Virtualization: Proficiency with AWS services and Type 1 Hypervisors (KVM).
IaC: Experience with Terraform and Ansible.
CI/CD: Hands-on with GitLab CI and Jenkins.
Containerization: Docker and Kubernetes administration.
Databases: Operational knowledge of SQL and NOSQL databases.
Education: B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or Electronics.

Soft Skills

Security Mindset: You naturally identify risks in a workflow before they become problems.
Ownership: A proactive mindset regarding uptime, security, and documentation.
Adaptability: Willingness to learn and pivot between different technologies as the project evolves.
Problem-Solver: A "systems thinker" who can debug complex networking issues in a hybrid setup.
