Senior Development Engineer-3 (Java-Spring Boot)

2. Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with 6-10 years of experience to join our

high-performing engineering team in Bengaluru. You will be responsible for designing and

building scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot, powering real-time digital

experiences for millions of users. This is an onsite role based out of our Koramangala office,

ideal for candidates who thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

3. Must-Have Skills

Strong proficiency in Java with at least 6 years of experience
Deep understanding of Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem
Experience building and scaling RESTful APIs and microservices
Proficiency with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
Strong grasp of object-oriented design, system design, and best coding practices
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and performant code
Problem-solving mindset with a strong sense of ownership

4. Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Prior experience in high-traffic systems or real-time platforms
Contributions to open-source projects or developer communities

5. Roles and Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services for large-scale applications
Work closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and QA to deliver new features
Optimize performance and scalability of applications
Write unit and integration tests to ensure software quality
Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers
Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues
Continuously explore and implement new technologies and best practices
