This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Mobile SDET based in India.

This role is focused on building quality into mobile software from the earliest stages of development.
You’ll design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks across iOS and Android applications.
You’ll combine automation, exploratory testing, regression coverage, and performance testing to improve release confidence.
The role spans front-end, back-end, APIs, and distributed systems, with a strong emphasis on end-to-end quality.
You’ll work closely with engineers, product managers, and delivery teams in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Your expertise will help establish testing standards, improve CI/CD integration, and strengthen the overall quality strategy.

• Design, develop, maintain, and evolve test automation frameworks for mobile applications, either from scratch or by extending existing solutions.
• Define and uphold test quality standards that provide consistency, reliability, and confidence throughout the release process.
• Develop high-quality, maintainable integration and end-to-end automated tests aligned with production engineering standards.
• Build reusable test utilities, mocks, simulators, and other components that improve automation efficiency and coverage.
• Contribute to the overall test strategy for products and services, combining automation, exploratory testing, regression testing, and manual QA where appropriate.
• Drive the integration and continuous evolution of automated testing frameworks within CI/CD pipelines.
• Own the structure, health, and relevance of test suites and regression packs, ensuring they remain lean, effective, and valuable.
• Test front-end, back-end, APIs, and distributed microservices using modern tools and frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Postman, and RestAssured.
• Plan and execute performance testing for mobile applications across different devices and platforms, including iOS and Android.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-squad teams to ensure functionality, integrations, and dependencies are thoroughly tested.
• Work throughout the testing lifecycle by investigating issues, writing automated tests, supporting manual QA activities, and contributing to release sign-off.
• Investigate defects and production incidents, ensuring fixes are properly validated through automated testing.
• Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Principal Engineers, and Delivery Managers to embed quality considerations early in the SDLC.
• Help evaluate, prioritize, and resolve defects based on reproducibility, business impact, and release scope.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in test automation for mobile applications.
• Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks and API testing solutions, rather than simply executing existing tests.
• Proven ability to write automated tests using JavaScript/TypeScript and tools such as Selenium, Charles Proxy, and Maestro.
• Strong expertise in designing and executing end-to-end test strategies aligned with Agile delivery practices.
• Hands-on experience with mobile automation technologies including Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, UIAutomator, and Maestro.
• Experience debugging mobile applications using Xcode and Android Studio.
• Experience with device testing platforms such as TestFlight and Amazon Device Farm.
• Practical experience testing across iOS and Android devices and platforms, including cross-device compatibility and performance testing.
• Familiarity with distributed and event-driven systems such as Kafka, AWS EventBridge, AWS Step Functions, queues, streams, and SnapLogic.
• Experience with test management tools such as Jira and Xray.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated testing into continuous delivery environments.
• A degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• CSTAE, ASTQB ISTQB Advanced, Certified Automation Tester, Cypress, or Playwright certifications are advantageous.
• Strong understanding of Agile software development and continuous delivery environments.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to constructively challenge teams and advocate for quality.
• A quality-focused, curious, analytical, and detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to manage changing priorities in fast-paced environments.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability for QA processes, automation health, and overall quality outcomes.
• Willingness to learn and adapt as technologies, systems, and testing practices evolve.
