Key Responsibilities Assist in implementing and maintaining cloud security controls and best practices. Monitor cloud environments to identify vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and potential security threats. Assist with cloud security assessments, vulnerability evaluations, audits, and penetration testing. Identify and support the remediation of cloud infrastructure security weaknesses. Contribute to security documentation, risk assessments, and compliance activities. Collaborate with engineering and security teams to support secure cloud deployments. Research emerging cloud security threats, technologies, and mitigation strategies. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline. Foundational knowledge of cloud computing, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Understanding of cybersecurity principles, including IAM, encryption, firewalls, VPNs, and network security. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, security configurations, and vulnerability assessment methodologies. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Demonstrated willingness to learn and develop expertise in cloud security. Professional Certification: The Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer certification is mandatory.
