Devops Engineer

Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement, and manage automated CI/CD pipelines to facilitate efficient software delivery.
2. Collaborate with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to optimize software development and release processes.
3. Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
4. Deploy, configure, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and services on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
5. Monitor system performance, reliability, and security, and implement improvements as needed.
6. Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution.
7. Implement and manage containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
8. Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, and best practices.
9. Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in DevOps and cloud computing.
10. Participate in on-call rotation and provide support for production systems as needed.

Qualifications and skills

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2. Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
3. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.

1. Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
2. Experience with version control systems such as Git.
3. Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
4. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
5. Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
6. Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Certification in relevant technologies such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or similar.
2. Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Splunk.
3. Familiarity with security best practices and tools for securing cloud environments.
4. Experience with serverless computing and microservices architecture.
5. Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
