SAP PI/PO Integration Expert

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SAP PI/PO Integration Expert based in India.

This remote contract role is focused on supporting a major SAP integration modernization initiative. You will bring hands-on expertise in SAP Process Integration (PI) and Process Orchestration (PO) while helping assess and migrate existing interfaces to Informatica Cloud Application Integration (CAI). The role covers interface analysis, solution design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and production support across complex enterprise environments. You will work with SAP HANA and S/4HANA integrations and a broad range of adapters and integration protocols. Collaboration spans offshore delivery teams and stakeholders in the United States, requiring strong communication and independent execution. This is an opportunity to contribute directly to a strategic integration transformation while providing technical guidance on SAP integration patterns.

• Review existing SAP PI/PO interfaces, mappings, adapters, dependencies, and integration architecture.
• Help define and execute the migration approach from SAP PI/PO to Informatica Cloud Application Integration (CAI).
• Design and develop integrations connecting SAP systems with upstream and downstream applications.
• Analyze integration requirements and translate them into scalable and maintainable interface solutions.
• Support interface testing, troubleshooting, issue resolution, cutover planning, and production support activities.
• Provide technical guidance to Informatica CAI developers on SAP integration patterns and best practices.
• Collaborate closely with offshore delivery teams and US-based stakeholders throughout the migration initiative.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to interfaces, mappings, migration activities, and support processes.

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP PI/PO, including both Process Integration and Process Orchestration.
• Experience integrating SAP HANA and/or S/4HANA with enterprise applications.
• Strong expertise in interface design, message mappings, monitoring, error handling, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Experience working with SAP integration adapters and protocols such as IDoc, RFC, SOAP, REST, JDBC, SFTP, and file-based interfaces.
• Previous experience migrating, modernizing, or transforming SAP PI/PO integrations is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of Informatica CAI, MuleSoft, or comparable iPaaS and integration platforms is a strong advantage.
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and the ability to assess dependencies across complex interfaces.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently investigate and resolve integration issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly when working across geographically distributed teams.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and provide clear technical guidance to development teams.
