Job Summary
The Data Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data platforms that support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives. The role focuses on data ingestion, transformation, storage, and optimization across structured and unstructured data sources.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines for batch and real-time data processing
Build and manage data lakes, data warehouses, and analytical data stores
Develop ETL/ELT processes to ingest data from multiple sources
Optimize data performance, quality, and reliability
Implement data governance, security, and access controls
Collaborate with analytics, BI, and data science teams
Monitor data pipelines and resolve data quality issues
Document data models, pipelines, and operational processes
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong experience in data engineering and data platform design
Proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python or Scala
Experience with cloud platforms and big data technologies
Strong understanding of data modeling and performance optimization
