Job Title: Databricks Administrator

Experience: 6 to 8 Years

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Databricks Administrator to manage, secure, and optimize Databricks environments supporting enterprise analytics and data engineering workloads. The role focuses on platform administration, performance optimization, security, and cost management across cloud-based Databricks deployments.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and manage Databricks workspaces across environments (Dev/Test/Prod)

Configure and manage clusters, jobs, pools, and workspace settings

Monitor cluster performance, availability, and resource utilization

Implement and manage user access, RBAC, and workspace security

Configure Unity Catalog, data governance, and access controls

Manage integrations with cloud storage (ADLS, S3, GCS)

Perform cost optimization and usage monitoring

Handle platform upgrades, patching, and feature rollouts

Implement CI/CD pipelines for Databricks notebooks and jobs

Configure logging, monitoring, and alerting

Troubleshoot platform, job, and performance issues

Support data engineers and data scientists with environment setup

Ensure compliance with enterprise security and data governance standards

Maintain operational documentation and SOPs

Provide L3 production support

Required Skills & Experience

Must Have

6–8 years of overall IT experience

4+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks administration

Strong experience with Azure Databricks / AWS Databricks / GCP Databricks

Hands-on experience with:

Cluster management and tuning

Job scheduling and workflows

Workspace and access management

Strong knowledge of cloud networking and security

Experience with Linux and scripting (Python / Shell)

Understanding of Spark architecture and performance tuning
