Job Title: SAP Data Migration Consultant
Experience: 6–10 Years
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced SAP Data Migration Consultant responsible for planning, executing, and managing end-to-end data migration activities in SAP implementations (S/4HANA or ECC). The candidate will work closely with business users, functional consultants, and technical teams to ensure accurate and timely data migration.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end SAP data migration activities for implementation/upgrade/rollout projects.
Perform data extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, and loading.
Design and execute data migration strategy and roadmap.
Work with business teams to identify data objects, mapping rules, and transformation logic.
Prepare Functional Specifications for migration programs.
Use SAP migration tools such as:
LTMC / LTMOM (S/4HANA)
BDC, LSMW
SAP Data Services (BODS)
Migration Cockpit
Conduct mock loads, trial migrations, and cutover activities.
Perform data reconciliation and validation post migration.
Ensure data quality and compliance with business standards.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (FI, MM, SD, PP, etc.).
Provide documentation and knowledge transfer.
Required Skills:
Strong experience in SAP Data Migration in ECC or S/4HANA projects.
Hands-on experience with:
SAP Migration Cockpit (LTMC/LTMOM)
BODS / SAP Data Services
LSMW / BDC
Strong understanding of SAP data objects:
Material Master
Vendor/Customer Master
BOM
Open transactions
Strong knowledge of data mapping, cleansing, and validation techniques.
Experience in at least 1–2 full lifecycle SAP implementations.
Strong Excel skills for data preparation.
Basic ABAP knowledge (debugging, reading programs) preferred.
Good understanding of integration impacts during migration.
