Job Description-
SAP Clean Core Architect
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced SAP Clean Core Architect to drive Clean Core strategy and governance across SAP landscapes, especially in SAP S/4HANA environments. The role focuses on minimizing core modifications, promoting extensibility using modern SAP technologies, and enabling upgrade-safe, innovation-ready architectures.
Key Responsibilities
Define and implement SAP Clean Core strategy across S/4HANA programs
Assess existing custom code and recommend remediation or decommissioning
Drive side-by-side and in-app extensibility approaches
Establish governance for enhancements, integrations, and developments
Promote use of SAP standard best practices and fit-to-standard workshops
Lead custom code adaptation during S/4HANA conversion programs
Ensure upgrade readiness and compliance with SAP best practices
Collaborate with functional, technical, and business stakeholders
Core Technical Skills
Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA architecture (On-Prem / Private / Public Cloud)
Knowledge of extensibility options:
In-App Extensibility (Key User tools)
Developer Extensibility
Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
Hands-on exposure to:
Custom code remediation (ATC, SCI checks)
SAP Readiness Check
Simplification Item Catalog
Integration knowledge (APIs, OData, IDocs, REST services)
Familiarity with SAP Fiori & modern UX principles
Governance & Strategy
Define Clean Core policies and architectural guidelines
Establish DevOps and transport governance model
Promote use of SAP standard APIs over custom developments
Guide teams on Side-by-Side extensions using BTP
Define upgrade and release management strategy
