Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer – WAN Routing Specialist with 8–10 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale enterprise WAN environments. The candidate will be responsible for advanced routing configurations, WAN optimization, high availability design, and leading network transformation initiatives (MPLS to SD-WAN).
Key Responsibilities
Design and architect enterprise WAN solutions (MPLS, SD-WAN, IPSec VPN, Leased Lines).
Implement and manage advanced routing protocols:
BGP (eBGP/iBGP, Route Reflectors, Communities, Policy Routing)
OSPF (Multi-area design, LSA tuning)
EIGRP
Perform WAN migration projects (MPLS to SD-WAN).
Design High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) network solutions.
Configure enterprise routers and edge devices (e.g., Cisco, Juniper Networks, Fortinet).
Implement QoS policies for voice/video traffic.
Conduct network capacity planning and performance optimization.
Lead troubleshooting for complex WAN routing issues.
Manage ISP relationships and SLA compliance.
Mentor junior network engineers.
Prepare network documentation, HLD/LLD, and change management records.

Strong expertise in BGP (multi-homing, route redistribution, filtering)
OSPF multi-area design & optimization
Advanced subnetting and IP addressing
VLANs, VRFs, NAT, Policy-Based Routing
WAN Technologies
MPLS (L2/L3 VPN)
SD-WAN (Cisco SD-WAN, Viptela, FortiGate SD-WAN)
IPsec & Site-to-Site VPN

WAN optimization tools
Security & Monitoring
Firewall configuration (FortiGate / Cisco ASA)
Network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios)
SIEM integration knowledge
Automation (Preferred)
Python for network automation
Ansible
REST APIs
Basic knowledge of cloud networking (AWS/Azure)
Experience
8–10 years of experience in enterprise network environments
Experience handling global WAN networks
Experience leading technical projects & mentoring teams
