We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to own the end-to-end delivery of production-grade voice AI deployments. This role combines customer discovery, technical solution design, hands-on engineering, deployment, and ongoing optimization.

The ideal candidate should be highly comfortable working directly with customers, translating business workflows into technical solutions, and building reliable integrations in fast-moving production environments.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Lead customer discovery and workflow mapping to understand business requirements and operational processes.
• Design and implement technical solutions for production voice AI deployments.
• Build and maintain API integrations with customer systems and third-party services.
• Develop simulations and prototypes to validate workflows and solution performance.
• Manage deployments from initial implementation through production launch.
• Monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance and reliability.
• Work closely with customers and internal teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure successful adoption.
• Own technical handoff and documentation once deployments are operational.
• Build scalable integrations and automation using Python and modern API technologies.
• Collaborate across engineering, product, and customer-facing teams to continuously improve deployed solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python and API engineering.
• Hands-on experience building and integrating REST APIs.
• Strong experience with FastAPI or similar Python web frameworks.
• Experience working directly with customers or business stakeholders on technical implementations.
• Ability to translate business workflows and requirements into production-ready technical solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and LLM APIs.
• Familiarity with structured outputs and function/tool calling.
• Working knowledge of TypeScript.
• Ability to read, understand, or make minor changes to Go code.
• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
• Exposure to AWS or other cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with voice AI, conversational AI, or AI-powered workflow automation.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who thrives in customer-facing environments and enjoys solving ambiguous, real-world technical problems. You should be comfortable moving from discovery and workflow design to coding, integrations, deployment, monitoring, and production handoff.
