Job Description – Data Modeler Architect (Snowflake)
Role: Data Modeler Architect – Snowflake
Location: Mumbai (Preferred), Bangalore, Chennai & Gandhinagar
Experience: 10+ Years (recommended for Architect level)
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop enterprise-level data models including conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
Architect and implement data warehouse solutions using Snowflake.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable data models.
Lead data architecture and modeling strategies for large-scale enterprise data platforms.
Optimize Snowflake data structures for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Establish data modeling standards, governance, and best practices.
Work closely with ETL/ELT teams to ensure accurate implementation of data models.
Support data migration from legacy systems to Snowflake.
Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across systems.
Provide architectural guidance and mentor junior data modelers and developers.
Required Technical Skills:
Strong expertise in Data Modeling (Conceptual, Logical, Physical).
Hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Warehouse architecture.
Experience with Data Architecture and Enterprise Data Modeling.
Proficiency in SQL and performance tuning in Snowflake.
Experience with Data Modeling Tools such as:
ERWin
ER/Studio
PowerDesigner
Lucidchart (or similar tools)
Knowledge of Dimensional Modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema).
Experience with ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, Talend, dbt, or similar).
Understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality, and Metadata Management.
Experience working with Cloud Platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Data Lake / Lakehouse Architecture.
Knowledge of Big Data technologies (Hive, Spark, etc.).
Exposure to Data Migration and Modern Data Platform implementations.
Snowflake certification is an added advantage.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to lead architecture discussions and design workshops.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Mentoring and leadership capabilities.
