Job Description – Databricks Engineer
Role: Databricks Engineer
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Databricks Engineer with strong experience in big data technologies and cloud-based data platforms. The candidate should have hands-on expertise in building scalable data pipelines using Databricks and processing large datasets using Apache Spark.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks.
Develop ETL/ELT workflows using Apache Spark (PySpark/Scala).
Implement data ingestion pipelines from various structured and unstructured data sources.
Optimize Spark jobs and improve performance of large-scale data processing.
Work with Delta Lake architecture and manage data lake environments.
Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business teams to deliver data solutions.
Perform data validation, transformation, and data quality checks.
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline failures.
Document technical design, workflows, and data processes.
Required Technical Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Databricks
Experience with Apache Spark (PySpark preferred)
Strong knowledge of SQL and data transformation techniques
Experience in ETL/ELT pipeline development
Hands-on experience with Delta Lake
Experience with cloud platforms such as:
Microsoft Azure (preferred)
Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Knowledge of data warehousing and data lake concepts
Experience with version control tools like Git
