Job Description
Role: Anaplan Model Builder
Job Purpose
The Planning team is focused on transforming planning and forecasting processes by developing driver-based forecasting models in Anaplan, as part of a broader Data Transformation initiative.
The Anaplan Model Builder will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable Anaplan models aligned with approved designs, logical frameworks, and data structures. The role requires a proactive approach to ensure models are user-friendly, intuitive, and deliver measurable value to stakeholders.
This role will be part of the Anaplan Consumer Build Squad, working closely with Solution Architects, Product Owners, and SMEs to deliver reliable, accurate, and innovative planning and forecasting solutions.
Additionally, the role involves active participation in the Anaplan Centre of Enablement (C4E) by promoting collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Develop predictive analytics capabilities within Anaplan models following best practices.
Build and support driver-based planning and forecasting models using consistent and logical dimensions.
Conduct thorough testing of models to ensure accuracy, functionality, and alignment with business requirements.
Ensure models are user-friendly, intuitive, and value-driven for end users.
Build and maintain data integrations between Anaplan and external systems.
Participate actively in the Anaplan Centre of Enablement (C4E) by sharing knowledge and driving innovation.
Continuously optimize Anaplan models to enhance performance and efficiency.
Collaborate with Solution Architects, Product Owners, and SMEs to deliver models aligned with Agile sprint cycles.
Gather and translate business requirements into effective Anaplan solutions.
Ensure completion of assigned deliverables within two-week sprint cycles.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including model logic, structures, and user instructions.
Create training materials such as bite-size video documentation for end users.
Present model enhancements and improvements to stakeholders, ensuring clarity on business value and alignment.
Support initiatives aimed at improving revenue and EBITDA growth through enhanced planning solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
1–3 years of hands-on experience in Anaplan Model Building.
Strong data modeling skills, including building driver-based planning models.
Experience in forecasting and planning model development within Anaplan.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets.
Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
Experience presenting technical and analytical findings to senior stakeholders.
Experience working in cross-functional environments.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and sprint-based development.
