Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled GCP BigQuery Engineer with strong experience in designing, developing, and optimizing data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with BigQuery, data pipelines, and cloud-based data warehousing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions using GCP BigQuery.
Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using GCP services.
Perform data modeling, schema design, and performance tuning in BigQuery.
Develop and maintain SQL queries, views, and stored procedures.
Integrate BigQuery with other GCP services like:
Cloud Storage
Cloud Dataflow
Cloud Pub/Sub
Cloud Composer (Airflow)
Implement data validation, data quality checks, and monitoring.
Optimize BigQuery costs and performance using partitioning and clustering.
Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business teams.
Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing support.
Maintain documentation for data architecture and workflows.
Required Technical Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Google BigQuery
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Strong knowledge of SQL
Experience in ETL/ELT development
Experience with Dataflow, Dataproc, or Cloud Composer
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts
Experience in data modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas)
Experience working with Cloud Storage
Understanding of data security and access control in GCP
Preferred Skills
Experience with Python or Scala
Experience with Apache Airflow
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
Experience with Looker or BI tools
Experience with real-time data processing
