Job Description: SAP MDG Tester – Material Master
Role: SAP MDG Tester – Material Master
Experience: 6+ Years
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP MDG Tester – Material Master with strong expertise in Material Master Data testing within SAP Master Data Governance environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating material master workflows, ensuring data quality, and supporting end-to-end testing activities across SAP landscapes.
Key Responsibilities
Perform functional, integration, and regression testing for Material Master Data in SAP Master Data Governance.
Develop test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements.
Validate material creation, change, and approval workflows.
Test material master attributes across different views such as:
Basic Data
Purchasing
Sales
Accounting
Warehouse
MRP
Conduct Unit Testing (UT), System Integration Testing (SIT), and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Validate data quality rules, duplicate checks, and workflow validations.
Perform data migration validation for material master data.
Execute regression testing during system changes or upgrades.
Log, track, and manage defects using tools such as JIRA or ALM.
Collaborate with functional teams to ensure accurate data validation.
Prepare test execution reports, defect logs, and documentation.
Support cutover, go-live, and post-go-live testing activities.
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience in SAP Master Data Governance testing.
Expertise in Material Master Data lifecycle management.
Good understanding of Material Master views and data structure.
Experience in:
Functional Testing
Integration Testing
Regression Testing
UAT Support
Knowledge of data migration validation techniques.
Experience in test planning, execution, and defect management.
Familiarity with Material Master processes in procurement, manufacturing, and sales.
Strong documentation and analytical skills.
