Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Frappe Developer with strong expertise in the Frappe

Framework to design, build, and scale enterprise-grade applications.

The ideal candidate will take end-to-end ownership of system architecture, development,

integrations, and deployment within a CI/CD-driven environment, ensuring high

performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Experience with HR systems (e.g., Frappe HR) will be considered an added advantage, but

is not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

1. Development & Customization

● Design and develop custom applications and modules using Frappe Framework

● Build and customize:

○ DocTypes

○ Workflows

○ Reports & Dashboards

● Develop Client Scripts and Server Scripts

● Design and extend REST APIs

● Integrate third-party systems and services

2. System Architecture & Scalability

● Architect and manage multi-site / multi-tenant deployments

● Optimize database performance (MariaDB/PostgreSQL)

● Design and manage:

○ Background jobs (Redis, Workers)

○ Role-based access control (RBAC)

● Ensure system scalability, reliability, and high availability

3. CI/CD & DevOps

● Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / GitLab CI)

● Automate:

○ Site provisioning

○ Bench deployments

○ Database migrations

○ Backup & restore processes

● Containerize applications using Docker (mandatory)

● Work with Kubernetes (preferred)

4. Integrations

● Integrate with:

○ External APIs (REST/GraphQL)

○ Enterprise systems (ERP, finance, or third-party platforms)

○ Devices or external services (where applicable)

● Develop and manage data migration and ETL pipelines

5. Performance & Maintenance

● Troubleshoot production issues and system bottlenecks

● Optimize:

○ SQL queries

○ Indexing strategies

○ Caching mechanisms

● Ensure adherence to security best practices:

○ Authentication & authorization

○ CSRF protection

○ Permission management

Required Skills

Core

● Strong proficiency in Python

● Frappe Framework (5+ years preferred)

Frappe Expertise

● DocTypes, Hooks, Fixtures

● Workflow Engine

● Client & Server Scripts

● REST API development

Backend & Infrastructure

● MariaDB / PostgreSQL optimization

● Redis & background job processing

● Bench CLI and multi-site architecture

DevOps

● CI/CD (GitHub Actions / GitLab CI)

● Docker (mandatory), Kubernetes (preferred)

Frontend

● JavaScript (ES6+)

● Jinja templating

● Basic knowledge of Vue/React (bonus)

Preferred Experience (Good to Have)

● Experience with HR systems or Frappe HR module

● Exposure to enterprise or healthcare systems

● Multi-region or high-availability deployments

● Handling large datasets (1M+ records)

● Understanding of compliance-heavy systems (e.g., payroll, regulatory workflows)

Ownership Areas

● End-to-end lifecycle of Frappe applications

● CI/CD pipelines and deployment architecture

● System performance, scalability, and reliability

● Custom workflow automation across business domains

Nice-to-Have

● Multi-tenant SaaS architecture experience

● Advanced UI/UX customization in Frappe

● Exposure to AI/ML integrations (analytics, automation use cases)
