ServiceNow Platform & Integrations Developer – Job Description
Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
ServiceNow Platform Development
- Design, develop, and implement solutions across ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, CSM, HRSD, and custom applications.
- Develop and maintain Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, ACLs, and Catalog Items.
- Build and customize workflows using Flow Designer and ServiceNow App Engine.
- Configure Service Catalog, Knowledge Management, Change, Incident, Problem, and Request Management processes.
- Participate in platform upgrades, patching activities, and release management.
Integration Development
- Design, develop, and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and external enterprise applications.
- Build integrations using IntegrationHub, REST APIs, SOAP APIs, Scripted REST APIs, JDBC, and web services.
- Configure and support MID Servers for secure communication with on-premise systems.
- Develop Import Sets, Transform Maps, and data synchronization processes.
- Implement authentication mechanisms including OAuth 2.0, Basic Authentication, API Keys, SSL Certificates, and SAML.
- Troubleshoot integration issues and optimize performance and reliability.
Platform Administration & Support
- Monitor platform health, performance, and security.
- Conduct root cause analysis and resolve complex production issues.
- Ensure adherence to ServiceNow development best practices and governance standards.
- Maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into technical solutions.
Required Skills
Technical Skills
- Strong experience with ServiceNow platform development.
- Expertise in JavaScript, Glide APIs, and ServiceNow scripting frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with:
- IntegrationHub
- Flow Designer
- MID Server
- REST & SOAP APIs
- Scripted REST APIs
- Import Sets & Transform Maps
- CMDB and Discovery
- Knowledge of JSON, XML, CSV, and API-based integrations.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
- Understanding of ITIL processes and ServiceNow best practices.
