Medical Scribe & Clinical Documentation Virtual Assistant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Medical Scribe & Clinical Documentation Virtual Assistant based in India.

This part-time remote role supports healthcare providers with accurate, organized, and timely clinical documentation. You will prepare and format patient notes, transfer relevant medical information, and organize details such as medications, vitals, and other clinical data. The position requires an understanding of medical terminology and clinical context rather than simply performing general data-entry tasks. You will also provide recurring back-office and administrative support connected to healthcare workflows. Working independently within established processes, you will help ensure documentation is complete, consistent, and ready for provider review. The role offers a structured opportunity to apply healthcare knowledge in a flexible remote environment while supporting efficient clinical operations.

• Prepare and format patient notes using established templates, workflows, and documentation standards.
• Transfer relevant clinical information into the appropriate documentation systems accurately and efficiently.
• Review and organize medications, vitals, and other patient-related clinical details.
• Prepare documentation for provider review and flag incomplete, unclear, or missing information when necessary.
• Organize patient-related files and records and transfer information between approved systems as required.
• Provide recurring back-office and administrative support related to clinical workflows, including relevant booking or coordination tasks.
• Complete required training and learn the client’s clinical applications, systems, and documentation processes.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow applicable documentation and compliance procedures.
• Consistently work toward completing prepared notes within the required 48–72-hour turnaround time.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a medical, clinical, healthcare, or medical-scribe environment is strongly preferred.
• Experience with medical documentation, medical records, executive support, or back-office operations is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to understand clinical context.
• Strong typing and data-entry skills, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Previous experience working with EMR/EHR platforms or medical documentation systems is a plus.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality when handling patient information; familiarity with HIPAA requirements is preferred, with certification support available.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently after training while following established procedures and workflows.
• Dependable, organized, and comfortable managing recurring tasks and deadlines.
• Willingness and ability to learn new medical software, documentation platforms, and client-specific systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, email, and calendar platforms.
