Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to lead the investigation, design, implementation, and modernization of complex enterprise features while contributing to customer escalations, bug resolution, and ongoing architectural improvements.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with legacy enterprise applications and modern web technologies, particularly C#, .NET 8, React, SQL Server, and Adobe ColdFusion (CFML). The role involves resolving complex production issues, mentoring engineers, and driving technical excellence throughout the development lifecycle.
The candidate will collaborate closely with Product Owners, QA Automation, DevOps, and Architecture teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Full Stack Development & Feature Delivery
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex enterprise features and production fixes.
- Develop backend services using C# and modern .NET technologies, including .NET 8.
- Build and maintain frontend applications using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Develop and consume REST APIs to support application functionality and enterprise integrations.
- Design scalable, maintainable, and secure software solutions following engineering best practices.
2. Legacy Application Modernization
- Work across legacy and modern application components during ongoing modernization initiatives.
- Maintain and enhance legacy enterprise systems, including Adobe ColdFusion (CFML) applications.
- Support the coexistence of legacy ColdFusion business workflows with modern React frontends and .NET services.
- Identify opportunities to improve application architecture, maintainability, and performance.
- Contribute to incremental modernization while ensuring business continuity.
3. Production Support & Troubleshooting
- Analyse customer-reported issues and identify root causes across application, API, infrastructure, and integration layers.
- Investigate and resolve complex production defects and technical issues.
- Perform debugging and root-cause analysis to identify sustainable solutions.
- Work with logging and monitoring tools to investigate application behaviour and production failures.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to resolve customer escalations and improve platform stability.
4. Backend Development & Database Optimization
- Develop and maintain enterprise backend applications using C# and .NET 8 or modern .NET versions.
- Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs and enterprise integrations.
- Work with SQL Server to develop and optimize database components.
- Identify database performance bottlenecks and implement appropriate optimization techniques.
- Ensure backend services meet enterprise requirements for scalability, reliability, and security.
5. Frontend Development & Application Integration
- Develop and maintain modern web applications using React.
- Support existing AngularJS applications and their integration with modern frontend components.
- Work with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript to deliver reliable user experiences.
- Collaborate with backend teams to integrate frontend components with REST APIs.
- Support the migration of legacy UI frameworks to modern frontend architectures where required.
6. Technical Leadership & Code Quality
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to platform modernization initiatives.
- Review code and establish development standards and engineering best practices.
- Mentor developers and support their technical growth.
- Make technical recommendations to improve application quality, maintainability, and performance.
- Promote secure coding, unit testing, debugging, and continuous improvement.
7. QA Automation & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with QA Automation teams to improve automated regression coverage.
- Ensure new functionality is testable and aligned with quality standards.
- Work closely with Product Owners, QA, DevOps, and Architecture teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Participate in technical planning, design discussions, and production issue reviews.
- Support CI/CD processes and deployments across development, testing, and production environments.
Required Technical Skills & Competencies
- 7+ years of enterprise software development experience.
- 7+ years of full stack development experience as specified under the Must-Have Skills.
- Strong expertise in C# and .NET 8 or modern .NET versions.
- Strong hands-on experience with React.
- Experience maintaining and enhancing legacy enterprise applications, preferably Adobe ColdFusion (CFML).
- Strong experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
- Experience with SQL Server and database performance optimization.
- Strong frontend development knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience working with AngularJS legacy applications.
- Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture and integration patterns.
- Experience troubleshooting complex production issues across application and integration layers.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of unit testing, debugging, logging, and monitoring.
