Designation: Shift Engineer
Job Brief: JSW Steel Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to oversee the continuous and safe operation of the Oxygen Plant within our manufacturing facility. The role demands a proactive individual capable of managing plant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring optimal performance, adherence to safety protocols, and compliance with environmental standards. The candidate will play a critical role in maintaining production efficiency, troubleshooting technical issues, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to support the overall manufacturing process. This position requires a strong technical background, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to operational excellence in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the daily operations of the Oxygen Plant during assigned shifts to ensure uninterrupted production and adherence to quality standards.
- Monitor plant equipment performance, conduct regular inspections, and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to maintain operational efficiency and safety.
- Ensure strict compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations and company policies within the plant.
- Coordinate with maintenance, quality control, and production teams to optimize plant processes and improve overall productivity.
- Maintain accurate operational records, prepare shift reports, and communicate critical information to senior management and relevant departments.
- Lead and mentor shift personnel, providing training and guidance to enhance team performance and safety awareness.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant reliability, reduce costs, and increase energy efficiency.
- Participate in emergency response planning and execution to handle any plant incidents effectively.
- Support audits and inspections by internal and external agencies, ensuring readiness and compliance.
