Consultant - Oracle Apex Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Consultant - Oracle Apex Developer based in India.

This role offers the opportunity to design, develop, enhance, and optimize enterprise web applications using Oracle APEX.
You will work extensively with Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL while translating business needs into effective technical solutions.
The position covers the full development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and feasibility assessment through implementation, testing, and support.
You will contribute to project planning, delivery tracking, documentation, training, and continuous application improvement.

You will work with internal stakeholders and project teams to deliver reliable solutions while maintaining quality, timelines, and budget expectations.

• Develop and maintain web applications using Oracle APEX, ensuring solutions meet functional and technical requirements.
• Use SQL and PL/SQL extensively with Oracle Database to build, enhance, and optimize application functionality.
• Manage the end-to-end development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, feasibility assessment, design, implementation, testing, documentation, and delivery.
• Enhance, support, troubleshoot, and optimize existing Oracle APEX applications.
• Translate business needs and development requests into practical and scalable technical solutions.
• Coordinate with IT teams, internal stakeholders, and project partners to define specifications and support successful project execution.
• Contribute to detailed project planning, resource coordination, progress tracking, change control, and on-time delivery.
• Support user training, documentation, and implementation activities as required.
• Adapt to changing priorities and contribute effectively within an agile and collaborative environment.
• Participate in cross-training and professional certification initiatives.

Requirements

• Graduate degree or equivalent educational qualification.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Oracle APEX development.
• 4–5 years of related experience with Oracle APEX, PL/SQL, HTML, and JavaScript.
• Strong hands-on experience building web applications with Oracle APEX.
• Advanced knowledge of Oracle Database, including SQL and PL/SQL, with experience in Oracle Database 10g/11g environments.
• Demonstrated expertise across the complete development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through implementation and support.
• Strong understanding of application enhancement, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate development requests into effective technical solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Comfortable working flexibly in an agile environment and adapting to evolving business needs.
• Knowledge of Python is an added advantage.
• Willingness to cross-train and pursue relevant technical certifications.
• Availability for a full-time permanent position of approximately 40 hours per week.
