Job Purpose	We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer – IT Allied Apps (Application Support L2) to join the Application Support team. The resource will act as the Dedicated Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for UAT, Production support of critical applications including Dedupe, DMS and Amlock. The role will be responsible for ensuring the stability, availability and smooth functioning of the applications in the UAT, Prod environment. The resource will work closely with development teams, infrastructure teams, information security teams, business users and other technology stakeholders to troubleshoot application issues, coordinate deployments, support testing activities and ensure timely resolution of incidents. A key responsibility of this role will be to ensure appropriate segregation between UAT and Production environments, in line with IT compliance requirements, access control standards and user access segregation policies. The role will also support UAT, PROD deployments, application troubleshooting, VAPT remediation and closure activities, along with coordination of incidents and technical issues through to resolution.
Duties and Responsibilities	A. Application Support – L2 • Act as the dedicated SPOC for Dedupe, DMS and Amlock UAT, Production application support. • Provide L2, L3 technical support for application-related incidents and service requests. • Analyze application issues and perform initial troubleshooting to identify root causes. • Monitor application health and proactively identify potential issues. • Investigate application errors, failures and performance-related issues. • Coordinate with development, infrastructure, database and other technical teams for complex issues. • Ensure incidents are appropriately documented, tracked and resolved within agreed SLAs. • Perform root-cause analysis for recurring or critical incidents and recommend corrective actions. • Maintain appropriate application support documentation, troubleshooting guides and known-error information. B. UAT, Production Application Deployment Support • Coordinate and execute UAT, PROD application deployments in accordance with approved deployment procedures. • Validate application availability and functionality following deployments. • Coordinate with development and testing teams for deployment schedules and release activities. • Verify application configuration and dependencies following deployment. • Support rollback activities in case of unsuccessful deployments. • Ensure deployment activities are properly documented and follow change-management processes. • Coordinate post-deployment validation with relevant application/business teams. C. UAT and Production Environment Segregation • Ensure proper segregation of UAT and Production environments in accordance with IT compliance requirements. • Support implementation and maintenance of appropriate access controls between UAT and Production environments. • Ensure user access is aligned with approved user access segregation policies. • Coordinate with relevant infrastructure/security teams for access provisioning, modification and revocation. • Identify and report any potential access-control or environment-segregation issues. • Support audit and compliance requirements related to application environments and access controls. D. VAPT Remediation and Closure • Coordinate with application and infrastructure teams for Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) findings. • Analyze reported application vulnerabilities and understand the technical impact. • Coordinate remediation activities with development and infrastructure teams. • Support implementation and validation of fixes in the UAT environment. • Perform or coordinate retesting of remediated vulnerabilities. • Maintain evidence and documentation required for VAPT closure. • Follow up with relevant stakeholders to ensure VAPT findings are closed within defined timelines. E. Application Troubleshooting • Troubleshoot application issues across application, middleware, database and operating-system layers.\|• Analyze application logs and error messages to identify probable causes. • Perform basic troubleshooting on JBoss , IIS and Tomcat application servers. • Perform basic SQL/PL-SQL queries for application investigation and data validation. • Perform basic Linux administration and command-line troubleshooting. • Perform basic network troubleshooting related to application connectivity. • Analyze integration failures and coordinate with dependent application/support teams. • Escalate complex issues to appropriate technical teams with sufficient troubleshooting details and evidence. F. Incident and Problem Management • Own application incidents from initial investigation through resolution or appropriate escalation. • Ensure timely communication to stakeholders during critical incidents. • Maintain accurate incident records and troubleshooting details. • Participate in problem-management activities for recurring incidents. • Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement and reduction of recurring support issues. • Participate in production/UAT support activities as required by business and IT priorities.
Required Qualifications and Experience	a) Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. • b) Work Experience 3–4 years of relevant IT experience, preferably in: • Application Support / L2 Support • Enterprise application support • UAT and Production support • Application deployment and release support • Middleware/application-server support • Incident and problem management • Application troubleshooting Candidates should have hands-on experience troubleshooting enterprise applications and coordinating with multiple technical teams for incident resolution. • Skills Keywords: The successful candidate will be expected to: • Ensure stable and effective UAT/PROD support for Dedupe, DMS and Amlock. • Resolve application incidents within agreed SLA timelines. • Ensure smooth and controlled UAT/PROD deployments. • Maintain appropriate UAT/Production environment segregation. • Ensure compliance with user-access segregation requirements. • Drive timely remediation and closure of VAPT findings. • Minimize recurring application incidents through effective root-cause analysis. • Maintain accurate application-support and deployment documentation. • Ensure effective coordination between application, infrastructure, database, security and business teams.
