Database Administration
Strong experience in IBM DB2 Database Administration on Mainframe and/or Distributed platforms.
Expertise in database creation, modification, and schema management.
Ability to support application teams with database design and structural changes.
Storage & Capacity Management
Database storage allocation and space management.
Capacity planning and forecasting future database growth.
Performance optimization of tablespaces, indexes, and storage resources.
Backup, Recovery & Data Protection
Database backup, restore, and recovery management.
Disaster recovery planning and implementation.
Archive management and data retention administration.
Performance Monitoring & Tuning
Monitoring database health, availability, and performance.
SQL tuning, query optimization, and resource utilization analysis.
Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
Security & Compliance
User provisioning and access management.
Database security administration and auditing.
Ensuring compliance with organizational policies and vendor licensing requirements.
Replication & Database Refresh
Managing and monitoring data replication environments.
Performing database refresh activities across development, test, and production environments.
