Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer / Technical Lead to join a high-performing engineering team responsible for developing and supporting a strategic in-house platform built on technology concepts inspired by Spotify\'s engineering ecosystem. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technologist with strong expertise in Python development, API integration, database management, DevOps automation, and quality engineering practices. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications while ensuring reliability, security, and performance. You will collaborate closely with product owners, architects, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that meet enterprise standards. The position requires hands-on experience working with RESTful APIs, relational databases, and complex SQL queries to support business-critical applications. Additionally, you will contribute to Infrastructure as Code initiatives using Terraform and Terraform Cloud and help drive automation through modern CI/CD pipelines. As a senior team member, you will provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, promote best practices, and drive continuous improvement across development, testing, and release management processes. Key Responsibilities

 Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Python and related technologies. Build and integrate RESTful APIs while ensuring scalability, security, and performance standards. Develop and optimize SQL queries, database schemas, and data access layers to support application requirements. Collaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Terraform Cloud. Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and/or Harness to enable efficient software delivery. Drive automation across build, test, deployment, and operational processes. Lead the adoption and implementation of automated testing frameworks covering unit, integration, API, and end-to-end testing. Ensure adherence to enterprise release management and deployment governance standards. Conduct code reviews, establish development standards, and promote engineering best practices. Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive solutions. Mentor team members and support capability development across engineering and quality teams. Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to long-term technical strategy. Collaborate effectively within Agile, DevOps, and cross-functional delivery teams.

Skill Requirements

Skill Requirement Mandatory Skills Strong hands-on experience in Python application development. Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs. Advanced knowledge of relational databases and SQL query optimization. Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and scalable architectures. Hands-on experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code implementation. Exposure to Terraform Cloud for infrastructure provisioning, management, and automation. Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and/or Harness. Expertise in source control management using Git and GitHub. Strong understanding of automated testing methodologies and test automation frameworks. Experience implementing and maintaining quality engineering practices throughout the SDLC. Knowledge of enterprise release management processes and deployment governance. Experience working within Agile, DevOps, and continuous delivery environments.Preferred Skills Containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Cloud platform experience. Monitoring and observability tools. DevSecOps and security best practices. Large-scale distributed systems experience. Strong communication, leadership, analytical thinking, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

Other Requirements

Other Requirement Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Typically 8-12 years of professional experience in software engineering and technology delivery. Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and deliver business-critical solutions. Experience working in enterprise environments with high standards of quality, reliability, and governance. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proven ability to mentor team members and foster technical growth within the organization. Experience working across geographically distributed teams and multiple stakeholders. Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery methodologies. Ability to prioritize work effectively while managing competing deadlines and business priorities. Experience supporting production systems and managing incidents in a structured manner. Strong documentation and knowledge-sharing capabilities.
