Confirm that measuring and test equipment has valid calibration certificates. Coordinate sampling and testing with approved third-party laboratories. Prevent use of unapproved, damaged, expired or non-conforming materials. 3. Civil and Structural Quality Control Inspect survey controls, setting-out, excavation levels, founding strata, backfilling and compaction. Verify reinforcement grade, diameter, spacing, laps, couplers, cover, cleanliness and fixing before concrete placement. Inspect formwork stability, dimensions, line, level, release agents, joints, embeds, sleeves, anchor bolts and openings. Witness concrete sampling, slump testing, cube preparation, temperature checks, placement, vibration, finishing and curing. Review concrete batch records, mix approvals and test results; investigate low-strength or inconsistent results. Inspect structural steel materials, fabrication records, erection tolerances, bolting, welding, non-destructive testing and protective coatings. Verify foundations, equipment pads, trenches, pits, underground utilities, roads, pavements, drainage and external works. 4. Architectural and Building-Envelope Quality Control Inspect waterproofing, roofing, façade, cladding, masonry, plastering, screeds, flooring, partitions, ceilings, doors and finishes. Witness mock-ups and sample approvals and ensure accepted workmanship standards are maintained. Inspect fire-rated walls, doors, penetrations and fire-stopping interfaces in coordination with relevant specialists. Verify water-tightness, flood, adhesion and other specified field tests. Confirm that finished surfaces, joints, tolerances and access provisions satisfy approved details and operational requirements. 5. Inspection, Testing and Release of Work Review inspection requests and verify work readiness before formal inspection. Conduct or witness inspections and tests in accordance with approved ITPs. Record acceptance, rejection and comments clearly and objectively. Ensure concealed works are inspected and documented before covering or closing. Coordinate release of completed CSA workfronts to electrical, mechanical, ICT, security and commissioning teams. Maintain photographic evidence and supporting records for critical inspections. 6. Non-Conformance and Corrective Action Management Issue and track site observations, non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective action requests. Evaluate proposed repair or remediation methods with the contractor, designer and Owner's Engineer. Verify completion and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions before closing NCRs. Monitor recurring defects, identify root causes and recommend process improvements. Escalate significant quality risks, unauthorized deviations and concealed defective work promptly. Support evaluation of concessions and deviations
