We are currently seeking a Software Development Senior Specialist to join our team in bengaluru, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

1. Role Summary

The DevOps Application Expert is the main interface between Development and Infrastructure teams. The role partners on new projects and maintains existing applications, working closely with the Architecture team, and owns the middleware layer that applications rely on - ensuring its stability, security, and continuous evolution.

2. Key Responsibilities

-  Manage the infrastructure and middleware that hosts applications - primarily .NET applications on Windows/IIS and Websphere/Jboss based Middle ware hosted in on-premise environments  and Java/Python based application hosted on AKS .

-  Support development teams across the full lifecycle: architecture input, deployment, and testing

-  Handle infrastructure setup - server provisioning, firewall requests, access/user creation

-  Manage integration with external partners and interfaces (e.g. secure file transfer)

-  Support infrastructure and transformation projects, and prepare environments for new applications

-  Monitor ,follow-up with dev teams to remediate security vulnerabilities across all application layers; plan and execute upgrades and patching

-  Manage core security protocols (encryption in transit, authentication/authorization, certificate lifecycle)

 

3. Required Technical Knowledge

-  Cloud & Infrastructure: Microsoft Azure (Azure, Azure AD, Virtual Machines, Networking), Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), on-premise infrastructure, hybrid cloud environments

-  DevOps & CI/CD: Jenkins (pipeline creation, maintenance, plugin management), Azure DevOps pipelines, Docker / Kubernetes (containerization), scripting with PowerShell / Bash / Python, source control with Git / Azure Repos

-  Security: OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect, TLS/SSL & certificate management, Identity & Access Management (IAM), vulnerability scanning and code-quality tools such as SonarQube and GHAS

-  Middleware & Application Platforms: IBM BAW / FileNet, IIS hosting .NET applications on Windows, Java-based applications hosted on AKS

-  Monitoring & Operations: monitoring/logging tools such as Dynatrace, ELK, ITIL-based incident/change/problem management

 

4. Job Challenges

-  Supporting multiple development teams in parallel on a continuously evolving infrastructure

-  Balancing operational stability with ongoing upgrades and security patching

-  Managing complexity across hybrid (cloud + on-premise) environments

-  Maintaining security compliance without slowing down development agility

 

5. Soft Skills & Profile

-  Strong communication skills across Development, Testing, Architecture, Project, and Business teams

-  Analytical, problem-solving mindset; comfortable under pressure with multiple priorities

-  Proactive, autonomous team player

-  Fluent in English; French and/or Dutch is a strong plus

 

6. Experience

-  3-5 years in a similar DevOps / Application Support / Infrastructure role

-  Financial services or insurance environment experience is a strong plus

-  Proven track record managing middleware and application infrastructure, including hybrid cloud and CI/CD

-  Experience in Agile / Scrum environments preferred
